As the Product Marketing Manager, you're passionate about marketing and wealth management technology. You have an insatiable desire to learn more and understand the market and the customer. You have the ability to succinctly crystallize sometimes-complex topics into information that's understandable and actionable. You take pride in ownership but thrive when working alongside other talented people in Product Management, Relationship Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing. You want to do all this and more while enjoying a start-up environment (that happens to be a 15-year old rapidly-growing and highly-profitable software company).


Your primary responsibility will be to implement (and consistently refine) an effective product marketing process for Vestmark.  You have and will continue to develop a keen understanding of wealth management technology needs across sponsors, asset managers and end investors. You will research, talk to and listen to the market. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge base of market intelligence and share it with Sales, Marketing and other Vestmark teams. Ultimately, you'll craft positioning, messaging and other content that creatively connects the dots between those needs and how Vestmark is uniquely suited to solve them.

Specifically, you will:

  • Collect, analyze and share:
    • market knowledge across customer segments, including pain points, purchase motivators, competitive intelligence, use case scenarios, and customer problems
    • product knowledge across all aspects of VestmarkONE
    • competitive intelligence that helps Vestmark identify gaps and set priorities
  • Develop concise, consistent product positioning and core messaging that creatively 'connects the dots' and differentiates Vestmark's technology solutions
  • Create engaging, relevant content for marketing collateral, sales decks, white papers, blog posts, case studies and press releases
  • Work closely with Marketing to own the top of the sales funnel by developing, executing and measuring a variety of campaigns
  • Work closely with Sales to monitor the pipeline, understand opportunities and close new business
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and Training so messaging, positioning and content is aligned and consistently shared with existing clients
  • Provide input on broad business, market and sales strategies including KPMs


  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in the financial services – preferably software, and preferably within the wealth management vertical including asset managers, sponsors (broker/dealers and RIAs) and/or end investors
  • Strong, creative written and oral communication skills
  • Aptitude in research & fact-finding and tapping multiple resources to collect and synthesize data for market overviews, competitive assessments, SWOT analyses and go-to- market strategies
  • Availability for light travel, likely 3-5 days per quarter


  • Ability to produce and execute independently while playing a key role across a variety of teams and functions
  • Solid presentation skills with experience presenting to internal- and customer-facing audiences
